Among the wide variety of Hostels in Madrid, Hostel Cervantes stands out for its quality, its location and its treatment. Cervantes Hostels is a nice Hostel placed right in the center of Madrid, just one minute walking to the most known Musseums (Prado, Thyssen, Reina Sofia), and numerous touristic places like Sol, Neptuno, Atocha, Santa Ana, Huertas,... This Hostel is placed in a quiet street in the center of Madrid and have many comforts that will make your stay in the city very nice, the rooms are wide and very well refurnished with totally new bathroms. It is also regented by nice people which will attend you in anything you might need about the city. Without any doubt it is a good choice to enjoy all the atractions of the city.

From the airport By underground, you have to change twice (three lines) go to Banco de Espana (several alternatives). Take down Paseo de la Castellana, once you pass Neptuno fountain is the first on the right. (Price: single ticket 1,15€, ticket of 10, less than 6€). By Taxi, aproximately 20 minutes (depends on the traffic) its 30€. Take the highway N-II to Madrid, this will bring you to Avenida de America, continue straight on to Paseo de la Castellana, turn left until you pass Neptuno, then it is the first on the right. (See underground) From Atocha Train Station Walk up Paseo de la Castellana, before you reach Neptuno Fountain it is the first on the left. (Price: single ticket 1,15€, ticket of 10, less than 6€). By Taxi drive up Paseo de la Castellana to Neptuno, round Neptuno and take the way to Atocha, it is the first on the right. We strongly recommend to use the underground in Madrid, it is the fastest way to reach the centre of Madrid as the traffic in Madrid is very dense during most of the day and it is common to get in the middle of a traffic jam.

Las habitaciones son muy limpias y cómodas. El aire acondicionado funcionaba perfectamente y la ducha estaba caliente. Era muy tranquilo y seguro. La locación a la hostal es muy cerca a todo. This was my second stay at Hostal Cervantes. I continue to love it. It is in a lovely little neighborhood (Barrio de las Letras) on the street where Miguel de Cervantes lived and died. It is quiet and safe and VERY close walk to all the main points of interest. I could not imagine staying anywhere else in Madrid. The rooms are simple and intimate, not too many bells or whistles but the rooms are very clean and air conditioned and include a (pay to use) safe, an armoire, a flat screen TV, and an en suite bath with hair dryer. The staff is very nice.

El hostal estaba limpio, habia leido en algunos comentarios que se escuchaba ruido, y para nada, la zona muy tranquila. Esta muy centrico, no esperaba que lo estuviese tanto, tiene gran via a 10 min caminando, y Sol a a la misma distancia, y el parque del retiro a 5 minutos, y esta a 6 min de la estacion de Atocha. Disfrutamos mucho la estancia y la libertad del hostal, además de la sensación de estar en casa, no en un Hotel. Muy amable el trato y la información. El lugar limpio, sobrio, austero pero adecuado para el precio. La ubicación, inmejorable. Muy buena relación Calidad-Precio. Definitivamente regresaríamos.

Tuve una habitación con la ventana mirando a la calle. Había equipos de basureros en tres periodos de tiempo distintos que no me dejaron dormir bien por varias horas por la madrugada. Aparte de eso, es un buen hostal por el precio.

Estoy muy satisfecha. Recomendable 100% La ubicación muy buena y tranquila pese a ser el centro. La atención muy buena y la habitación nada vieja en apariencia. Comentar que el baño si que está más descuidado pero claro, hay que entender que son pisos viejos, no podemos esperar un hidromasaje... Repetiré, sin duda Muy contenta también con la calefacción
