Iberia airlines changed my return flight to the USA to be one day earlier, weeks before I arrived at Hotel Dulcinea. I was unable to modify my reservation using the hotel’s website. I emailed the hotel, and they told me that they could not help me. So, I had to pay for a third night, even though the fault was not mine. If I was to reserve at this hotel again, I would use Booking.com, and the hotel would lose some money.

Me he quedado aquí durante varios años cada vez que estoy en Madrid. Las habitaciones son cómodas y están muy limpias. Las instalaciones están muy bien. Mi única observación es en el control de temperatura del agua, que parece oscilar bastante. Pero uno se puede bañar sin problemas de todos modos. Quizás en invierno podría ser un problema.

Ottima sistemazione nel centro di Madrid. posizione centrale n el Barrio de las Letras, vicino ai principali musei e Il Retiro. Si può fate tutto a piedi. Autobus da e per l'aeroporto a pochi minuti. Siamo rimasti sorpresi, la camera perfetta, pulitissima, aria condizionata. Bollitore per fare il caffè. La propietaria è stata molto gentile. Lo consiglio per girare la città. Zona tranquilla. Ottime taverne spagnole in zona.

Staying in Dulcinea is great. It is quiet. almost to quiet, and walking distance to everything you may like to do in Madrid. Lots of bars end restaurants in the neighborhood and with the best breakfast-and lunch place (Casa Merani) next doors.

Muy buena opción si quieres alojarte en el centro de Madrid. Baño completo y limpio. La cama y la almohada comodísimas. Me tocó una habitación interior y casi nada de ruido. Las dos personas encargadas son muy amables y te permiten guardar la maleta en recepción todo el día de salida. Repetiré seguro.

It is a pleasure to give my opinion about the excellent service offered by Hostal Dulcinea. My sister and I have already stayed there more than once. The truth is that I feel as if I came home. It is a very clean, comfortable, cozy place, with attentive and trustworthy administrators who I think are the owners of the place because of how well they take care of it, as well as how well they treat their guests. It is a safe, stylish place, we love its elevator and there are no annoying noises, very quiet. It has A/C and heating, depending on the need of the season. It could not be better located, very central, with restaurants and cafes to choose from near the Neptuno and Cibeles fountains, Atocha station is a short 12-minute walk along the beautiful Paseo del Prado, it’s close to three of the most important museums in the world, del Prado, Thyssen-Bornemisza and Reina Sofía. The mattresses are very comfortable and the bedding nice and clean, all in good taste. Our room had an electric water heater and they are so attentive that at the entrance there is a box with different teas and infusions for guests to serve themselves. They change the towels every day without having to ask and everything is spotless, they really make me feel at home, to the point that, after a day of shopping and magnificent art exhibitions, I told my sister that it was time to go home . The price is very competitive and the quality is excellent. I wouldn't trade it for another hostel and highly recommend it.

Es un placer dar mi opinión sobre el excelente servicio que ofrece el Hostal Dulcinea. Mi hermana y yo ya nos hemos alojado allí más de una vez. La verdad es que me siento como si llegara a casa. Es un lugar muy limpio, cómodo, acogedor, con unos administradores atentos y confiables que pienso que son los propietarios del local por lo bien que lo cuidan, así como por lo bien que atienden a sus huéspedes. Es un lugar seguro, con estilo, nos encanta su ascensor y no hay ruidos molestos. Tiene aire acondicionado y calefacción, según la necesidad de la estación. No puede estar mejor ubicado, muy céntrico, con restaurantes y cafeterías para escoger cerca de las fuentes de Neptuno y Cibeles, la estación de Atocha está a una corta caminata de 12 minutos por el bello Paseo del Prado, cerca de tres de los museos más importantes del mundo, del Prado, Thyssen-Bornemisza y Reina Sofía. Los colchones son muy cómodos y la ropa de cama bonita y limpia, todo de buen gusto. Nuestra habitación tenía hervidor de agua y son tan atentos que en la entrada hay una caja con diferentes tés e infusiones para que los huéspedes se sirvan. Cambian las toallas todos los días sin tener que pedirlo y todo está impecable, en verdad me hacen sentirme como en casa, al punto que, tras un día de compras y exposiciones magníficas, le dije a mi hermana que ya era hora de regresar a casa. El precio es muy competitivo y la calidad excelente. No lo cambiaría por otro hostal y lo recomiendo altamente.

Me he llevado un grata sorpresa con el Hostal Dulcinea. Estaba muy limpio, sorprendiéndome muy positivamente. Muy atentos, llegué a las 12.00 Am y me estaban esperando. Cuando salí a dar un paseo, la habitación, estaba limpia de nuevo. El agua de la ducha caliente e incluso con calefacción privada. Muy recomendable, volvería a repetir y lo aconsejaría.

La verdad es que es una gran opción para alojarse unos días en Madrid. Pagué unos 28€ la noche por una habitación doble con una cama muy confortable y cambio de toallas diario, amenities... La habitación tiene el espacio justo, tampoco se nota demasiado pequeña, para dormir dos personas está bien. El metro está a 10 minutos caminando, que para ser Madrid puede ser mucho, pero está pegado a la Plaza de Neptuno y hay muchos buses

Los dueños son muy amables y encantadores. La habitación esta genial, los colchones muy cómodos y todo muy limpio, cambian todos los días las toallas. La ubicación es excelente, en pleno centro de Madrid. El baño esta correcto aunque cambiaria las cortinas de la ducha por una mampara para que sea más higiénico y colocar bolsas en la papelera del baño. Por último, lo que más me decepcionó es la falta de insonorización de las habitaciones, todos los días sobre las 7-8 de la mañana nos despertábamos debido al ruido de la habitación colindante, se escuchaba perfectamente hasta los ronquidos. Considero que debería mejorarse ese aspecto para el mejor descanso de los huéspedes ya que la mayoría acuden a descansar.

Aunque las instalaciones son básicos, la habitación era muy limpio y funcionan bien. Nuevas toallas cada día y la habitación limpiaba. El propietario y su hijo eran agredable y me permitieron a depositar mi maleta hasta el bus para el aeropuerto.

This is a great place. I have three things I want in the lodging: Secure, clean, convenient location. This is a perfect place. The bed was comfortable, the place was very clean and well kept up. The owners were very nice. Although I don't speak Spanish and they only speak a little English, we were able to communicate without any problems. The location is great. Very close to the Prado, Thyssen, Reina Sofia, Plaza Mayor. Within a block or two there are fabulous tapas bars. The place is not fancy but that is okay with me. I don't spend much time in the room. Thank you are a wonderful stay and I hope to see you again the next time I visit Madrid.

Ottima posizione rispetto al centro città: Plaza Mayor è raggiungibile in 15 minuti a piedi. Ci siamo spostati sempre a piedi visitando gran parte del centro storico. Calle Cervantes è vicina a numerosi bar e ristoranti ma come via è molto tranquilla così chi vuole può dormire a tutte le ore.

Conozco el Hostal desde hace 20 años...Es lamentable la mala calidad de los servicios que han empeoredo en los ultimos dos/tres años (fontanería ineficiente/anticuada, espacio reducido (hasta 3 camas en un cubiculo de 12 m2..). El iaumento de precio del 25% del último año, hace que la relación calidad/precio se haya precipitado.En resumen una clidad MUY BAJA para un precio ELEVADISIMO:

La fontanería de la ducha es un poco grande para la bañera, o no está en la mejor posición por la poca anchura que tiene la bañera en ese punto. Pero está genial, no obstante.

Perfectly located in my favorite neighborhood in Madrid, just minutes walk from the best musuems, plazas, food, and the convenient airport shuttle bus. Jose y Maria are lovely hosts, very friendly and accommodating. Excellent A/C and comfortable bed in the room, excellent value at €40 for a single room. Some Spanish language skills recommended.
