The Hostel Olga in Madrid in situated in the Zorrilla Street, just behind the Spanish Parliament, near the Plaza de Neptuno and the Cibeles. This area is very quiet, secure and centrical, from the Hostel you can walk to the main Museums in Madrid, the Prado Museum, the Reina Sofia Museum and the Thyseen Museum. Also close to the typical spanish tapas bars, nice restaurants, cinemas, theatres, etc. The Hostel Olga is managed by a family offering a nice treatment and it is very clean.

From the airport By underground, you have to change twice (three lines) go to Banco de Espana (several alternatives). Take down Paseo de la Castellana, once you reach Neptuno fountain on the right. The Hostel Olga is situated behind the Spanish Parliament, in Zorrilla Street. (Price: single ticket 1,15€, ticket of 10, less than 6€). By Taxi, aproximately 20 minutes (depends on the traffic) its arround 25-30€. Take the highway N-II to Madrid, this will bring you to Avenida de America, continue straight on to Paseo de la Castellana, turn left until you reach Neptuno, turn right. The Hostel Olga is situated behind the Spanish Parliament, in Zorrilla Street. From Atocha Train Station Walk up Paseo de la Castellana, once you reach Neptuno Fountain take the first on the left. The Hostel Olga is situated behind the Spanish Parliament, in Zorrilla Street. (Price: single ticket 1,15€, ticket of 10, less than 6€). By Taxi drive up Paseo de la Castellana to Neptuno, turn lef in Neptuno. The Hostel Olga is situated behind the Spanish Parliament, in Zorrilla Street. We strongly recommend to use the underground in Madrid, it is the fastest way to reach the centre of Madrid as the traffic in Madrid is very dense during most of the day and it is common to get in the middle of a traffic jam.

Había recepción 24 horas que no es lo normal en un hostal pienso, el edificio y mobiliario era antiguo, pero la relación calidad precio era muy buena, tienen servicio de habitaciones, aunque no nos repusieron gel (eso sí, teníamos jabón, quizás por eso sería), tenía televisión, tenía calefacción y se estaba muy bien muy calentito. Quizás me faltó secador (pero es entendible porque es un hostal). Personal amable también.

I had a single with attached bath. Bath is small but it worked! hot water. I stayed in November and it was cool in the room at night. Bed comfortable. Gabby, the young lady at the desk was always kind to me. Stairs no elevator. Noise from other guest returning to their rooms the a.m for many people there stay out until 2 a.m Location was great. Within a mile of many museums: Reina Sophia, Prado, Thyssen, Puerta de Sol,. Convenient to the Sevilla metro stop

Very nice staff: They stayed open for us even though they were technically off for Christmas Eve holiday. Clean and comfortable, as long as you don't seek luxury. Terrific value and an easy stroll to the Prado, Reine Sofia, and a coupe of blocks from the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum.

La localización es perfecta, todo queda a mano y se puede ir caminando a todos los lugares principales de Madrid. La habitación muy limpia, el mobiliario es un poco antiguo, pero para pasar un fin de semana es perfecto. Las personas que nos atendieron fueron muy amables y discretas.

He quedado contentisima con este hostal. Los duenos son muy amables ellos , sin yo haberlos preguntado pero sabiendo que venian en avion a las 7 de latarde, ellos me pusieron un correo, me sugerieron tomar el autobus desde el aeropuerto que llega justo a dos calles de su hostal. Una cosa muy importante para mi fue las buenas luces en la cama para poder leer y en el bano.

The Hotel Olga is pretty bare-bones, since it is just big enough for the single (slightly short) bed and the shower in the corner. Calling it "con bano" is a bit misleading since it doesn't have a toilet, but instead has a sink and a shower stall in the corner of the room. And it is a bit noisy in the morning since the walls are pretty thin. But the location is great, the rooms are clean and they have wifi in the main area.

The hotel staff were very accomodating. They spoke limited English but better than my limited Spanish. Even used a computer translation screen to help me get reservations on the train. Room was simple but comfortable and clean. Only drawback was the buzzer constantly ringing at all hours. We had the room behind reception so maybe the other rooms didn't hear the buzzer. We were there to tour so needed to wake anyway.

Very much enjoyed the manager of the Hostal who handed us our key without needing to ask our room number every time we came in. Not sure of how well he and others speak English as we always conversed in Spanish. Clean, basic furnishings. Our room faced the street and was a bit noisy but we were able to sleep through the noise just fine, with the exception of what we believe was a garbage truck. Enjoyed the feeling of extra security of cameras and security personnel that serve the congress building, the back side of which faces the Hostal. Would recommend for an economy stay.

The staff is excellent, very nice and helpful although their english is not very good. We stayed on two occasions and the rooms were always very clean. One bed was very hard with a bad pillow. The other bed was great. I'm not sure about the quality/price because I don't have other prices to compare it to. The location is great and secure.
